Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern the collection, storage, and use of smart meter data by Heata, a trading name of Bit Warmer Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 11110428, whose registered office is at Wood Farm, Portsmouth Road, Godalming, GU7 2JR, United Kingdom (hereinafter referred to as "Heata", "we", "us", or "our"). By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, you, the consumer (hereinafter referred to as "you", "your", or "Consumer"), are consenting to the collection and use of your smart meter data as outlined in these Terms and Conditions.

3. Data Privacy Officer
Heata's Data Privacy Officer can be contacted at dpo@heata.co for any enquiries or requests relating to your data.
4. Data Collection and Purpose
Heata collects your smart meter data, including energy usage and consumption patterns, for the purpose of conducting a trial to better understand how Heata units affect a household's energy consumption, and to obtain SAP accreditation from DESNZ (UK Government Department for Energy Security & Net Zero). This data may be shared with DESNZ and BRE (the Building Research Establishment) for the sole purpose of the accreditation process.

We will collect this data for the duration of the trial, which is expected to be up to 18 months from installation. Should the trial over run this 18 month period we will ask to renew consent for a further defined period of time.
5. Consent Withdrawal
You may withdraw your consent for Heata to access and use your smart meter data at any time by contacting our Data Privacy Officer at dpo@heata.co.
6. Data Retention Period
Heata will retain your smart meter data until it has completed the trial and analysis for the purpose stated in section 4 above.

8. n3rgy Data Service
n3rgy data service ( https://data.n3rgy.com ) is used by Heata to interface with the national smart meter systems in order to collect, store, manage and share with Heata your Smart Meter data. This service uses the Smart Energy Code  (https://smartenergycodecompany.co.uk/)  Party credentials and Party ID of its parent, N3RGY LIMITED, incorporated and registered in England and Wales with the company number 11203504 whose registered office is at 4 Ovington Drive, Fleet, United Kingdom, GU51 1DF.
